Sensitive to Dairy

a few symptoms

A customer recently wrote this email, which I thought other parents might benefit from reading also.

"My son is sensitive to Dairy. I discovered this with the help of my Karitane nurse.

The symptoms were dry skin patches similar to cradle-cap, very windy especially intestinal wind, explosive nappies at every feed, waking in the night with tummy pains (kicking legs up etc).

The Karitane nurse advised me to cut most dairy from my diet, and try the S26 newborn (not gold), for evening top-up bottle feeding when required.

This is made from a whey based milk which is easier to digest.

Previously we were using Karicare and I was eating milk, yogurt, cheese etc.

He is now much better.  I am still doing breastfeeds and notice that he will get very spewy when i eat something with dairy."
